The Department of Tourism of San Pedro del Pinatar, in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia, offer free guided tours around the Park of Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro, with the aim of publicizing the natural wealth and landscape of this environment.
Next Sunday, September 2, the Department of Tourism has scheduled the guided tour "Ornithological Route", from 18:00 to 20:00 and focused on bird watching.
An itinerary that will be repeated on October 7 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 p.m., coinciding with the celebration of the Day of the Birds.
This is one of the eight free itineraries through the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro offered by the City Council through 20 routes, 18 in Spanish and two English, until the end of the year.
This last cycle completes those carried out throughout the year, with a great success of participation, especially during the summer, in which the visits have been developed "Discover the Regional Park through an objective", "Night Route" Full Moon "and" Life on a natural beach: Posidonia oceanica ".
As a novelty this year, the itinerary "Paraíso Salado, enjoy the Regional Park as a family" that is aimed at children and families is incorporated.
In this activity children will become small ornithologists, learning to differentiate birds, knowing their names and customs, and also botanists, differentiating species of flora typical of this natural space and receiving a diploma at the end of the visit.
This route will be held on Sunday, October 14 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
To the north of the park the route "Senda de los Tarays" is offered, along the route we will be surprised by the vegetation and the birds that we can observe in the perimeter canal or from the observatory located in a strategic place.
Scheduled for Sunday, October 28 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The internal part of the park is known by the "Sendero de Coterillo" route, following the green and white marks of the local Senda.
You cross the pine forest of Coterillo, you go through several bird observatories and you walk along the shore of a natural beach such as Playa de Torre Derribada, it will be on Sunday, November 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The calendar of visits will end on Sunday, December 2 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the route "Life in the world of salt" is the only one that departs from the Visitor Center "Las Salinas" to visit its facilities and make known the great work of this center in environmental education awarded Blue Center and certified with the Quality Q of Parks.
All the routes are free and are directed by a specialized guide in this natural area, following the authorized footpaths and footbridges, respecting the flora and fauna of the Regional Park.
To participate in these routes, a prior reservation is required.
The registration period opens one month before the date of the route and you must make a reservation voucher through the tourist portal of the Region of Murcia, www.murciaturistica.es.
