The extraordinary plenary session held in San Pedro del Pinatar today approved the General Account of the last financial year, which closed with a surplus of 1.71 million euros.
The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar closed the 2017 General Account with an adjusted budgetary result of 1.7 million, which resulted in the generation of cash, which has allowed drastically reduce the average payment period during 2018, explained the mayor of the town, Visitación Martínez.
Thus, during the second quarter of this year the average period of payment to suppliers was 11.01 days, well below the 30 marked by the law, has influenced the mayor.
In addition, the 2017 General Account shows a reduction of municipal debt of 3.24 million euros, from 28.49 million at the end of 2016 to 25.24 million at the end of the year last year.
In this regard, he recalled that the current Municipal Government Team has achieved a decrease of close to 15 million in municipal debt in just six years.
With regard to budget execution, the mayor explained that revenue stands at 95.87%, while spending has been estimated at 85.98%, a fact conditioned by the fact that the City Council accepted the lack of three years in the loans of the Supplier Payment Plan.
After informing the municipal general account of 2017, the mayor said that "these data once again corroborate the rigor, solvency and transparency of the economic policy carried out by the Government Team and the great improvement of the state of the municipal coffers ".
