The surroundings of the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar hosted the sixth edition of this popular race that brought together more than 400 athletes in the absolute and children's events.
The marina Marina de Las Salinas hosted on Sunday, September 30, the sixth edition of the popular race Correlimos, included in the Murcia Runing Challenge, and which started at 10:00 hours with absolute tests.
The race again included two races, one of 7.6 kilometers and another of 13.4 kilometers, in addition to children's tests, in which participants could enjoy the uniqueness of the landscape, passing through natural beaches, salt ponds, windmills of La Calcetera and Quintín, the enchained ones, or the mud baths of La Mota.
In addition, the race had as technical challenge the different surfaces to which the participants have faced, from asphalt to sand, going through cobblestones and dirt.
In the 7.6 kilometer test, the local rider Bienvenido Ballester, from club 30740, was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 25 minutes 57 seconds, followed by Alejandro Meroño, of Inassa Premium (26 min 02 sec) and Fulgencio Angosto, from CA Mandarache Cartagena (26 min 08 sec).
In the female category of this distance the winner was Mar Gómez, from the Rajaos club, with a time of 34 minutes 07 seconds, followed by Alba García (34 min 58 sec) and María Nicolas (35 min 29 sec).
In the 13.4-kilometer race, the winner was José Carlos Caparrós, from the Paris Real Estate Group, with a time of 48 min 23 sec, followed by Francisco Bermejo, from CA Torre Pacheco (50 min 13 sec) and Francisco Mariano Martínez, from San Javier Team Inassa (50 min 48 sec).
In the female category, the first classified was Beatriz Ríos, from Grupo Alcáraz (59 min 18 sec), followed by Almudena García, from Fondistas de Alcantarilla (59 min 42 sec) and Josefá Muñoz, also from runners from Alcantarilla (01 h 04 min 16 sec).
At around 12:00 o'clock the protagonism was for the smallest, who competed in distances of 100, 650, 1,300 and 1950 meters in the facilities of the Marina Port of Las Salinas where, after the delivery of trophies, in charge of the mayor, Visitación Martínez, the sports councilor, Javier Castejón, and the manager of Marina de Las Salinas, Domingo Macanás;
a traditional cauldron was offered to all participants.
