The educational offer of the Popular University 2018-2019 offers more than 1,700 places in 58 courses that will be taught between the months of October and May aimed at strengthening and promoting lifelong education
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the Councilor for Education, Guadalupe García, today presented the training offer of the Popular University for the 2018-2018 academic year.
He has also attended this event, on behalf of the Cajamurcia Foundation and Bankia, Mª Carmen Saura, director of the Bankia office in the town;
Nuria Écija, director of La Caixa in San Pedro and Ruben Morte, representing Caja Rural Central.
Visitación Martínez has highlighted the evolution of the Popular University in these years, in which it has gone from offering a score of courses in its first editions to 58 today, most of them aimed at training for employment, so that Every year we work on expanding the offer of approved courses and those that include practices.
In addition, he pointed out that the Popular University has consolidated in these years a modern educational offer, dynamic and integrative;
a commitment to continuous learning.
He also thanked the support in its financing by the social works of Caja Rural, Obra Social La Caixa and Fundación Cajamurcia, for believing in this project and allowing high quality courses to be delivered at very affordable prices, which also have 50 percent bonuses for large families, pensioners, unemployed or students with incomes below the minimum interprofessional salary.
On the other hand, Guadalupe García has detailed the formative offer and the novelties of the 2018-2019 academic year.
Thus, in language training it is incorporated into English, French, German, Russian, Chinese and Italian, Spanish for Anglo-Portuguese, a course requested by this community in the locality.
On the other hand, in the computer science area the course of mobile applications for daily life and 3D design and prototyping is incorporated.
In the specific area, which includes training for employment, incorporates those already consolidated as a pharmacy assistant, sanitary caretaker or geriatric care, those preparing for the free test of obtaining technician in pharmacy and parapharmacy;
preparation for administrative assistant, or the 310-hour course for the dynamization of free time educational activities for children and youth, consisting of 4 blocks throughout the academic year.
This year will also offer courses in graphic design and layout, pool maintenance, access controller, accounting for non-accounting and learn start up and cash flow How to create a company without capital ?.
It also includes novelties in the aesthetics and massage module and in the personal development module.
