On Saturday, October 13, the second edition of this festival of music in urban spaces will be held in San Pedro del Pinatar, with the participation of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena, the saxophones quartet Katharsis and the Ars Nova group, with concerts foot of street where a gastronomic demonstration paired with Murcian products will also be offered.
The councilor of Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar, Silvia Egea, and the artistic director of the Festival, José Agustín Fernández, today presented the program for the second edition of Allegro, Music in urban spaces, to be held on the 11th and 13th of October.
Silvia Egea explained that this initiative is part of the actions taken by the City Council to transfer artistic expressions to the street in order to promote access to culture and promote the progressive involvement of citizens in cultural life .
In this context, the second edition of the Allegro Festival takes place on Saturday, October 13, an initiative that seeks to insert music in the most emblematic urban spaces of the municipality.
Throughout the day citizens can enjoy live and free of charge some of the best instrumental ensembles and orchestras of the region, in concerts at street level where they will also offer a gastronomic demonstration paired with Murcian products.
The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena, the quartet of saxophones Katharsis and the Ars Nova group will be in charge of impregnating music from all corners of the town, with a musical program that will feature the commemoration of the centenary of Debussy's death.
Poster with 78% female performers
The woman also stands as one of the fundamental pillars in this second edition of the festival, with a poster that has 78% female performers, as well as an opening concert "En Clave Femenina" starring cellist Irene Ortega.
The Allegro Festival is considered as a new musical alternative in the Region, in order to become a reference within its discipline.
On the other hand, wants to discover to all attendees the different offers both tourist and cultural that the municipality poses.
The tour will start at the aperitif time, at 12:00, with a Chamber Vermouth, in the Plaza Luis Molina (in front of the Town Hall);
followed by a historic café at 4:30 p.m. in San José Park, culminating in a symphonic wine on the esplanade of the Barón de Benifayó Museum at 10 p.m.
Chamber Vermouth (12.00h)
The first concert will take place in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, one of the most emblematic spaces of the municipality.
Under the name of "Chamber Vermouth" the attendees can enjoy a fabulous concert of the Katharsis Saxophones Quartet, as well as taste a small gastronomic sample of Pedrín Bakery, paired with vermouth and craft beer from the Nomadic Oasis.
Historic Coffee (16.30h)
Then the music will move to the San José Park, where the ARS NOVA choir under the direction of the soprano Teresa Albero will delight us with an evening concert of Argentine tints, accompanied by a string formation and the bandoneonist Francisco Martínez.
In this case the person in charge of accompanying the performance with a fabulous coffee will be the Soldadito de Plomo (coffees & pastries).

Symphonic Wine (22.00h)
The closing of Allegro will feature a program and luxury guests.
The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena will be in charge of the closing concert of this second edition of the festival.
On this occasion they will present their own production of "El Amor Brujo" by Manuel de Falla under the musical direction of Álvaro Pintado and the stage direction of Antonio García Vázquez.
In addition, they will have the special participation of Granada-born cantaora Ana Monchón in the role of Candela and dancer Mercedes Carrillo.
A fresh show, whose sober, but energetic staging, will transfer us through the spell of Manuel de Falla to the deepest Andalusia.
The culinary show will come from the Catering José Antonio and the best wine pairings Vin & CO.
