The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar, the organization and the companies participating in the 1st Gourmet Shrimp Encounter 'Vivo 2018' have decided to postpone this event due to the weather forecast for the days 19, 20 and 21 October, which ratifies the last report of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), in which it reports adverse phenomena, with strong and persistent rainfall throughout the Mediterranean area.
The organization of the I Gastronomic Encounter of the Shrimp of the Mar Menor has been working for months in this new event, with which it is intended to value the gastronomy and fishing, promoting the tourism and hospitality sector in the area.
Given the weather forecasts, and after assessing the complexity of the assembly and the work of dozens of people involved in the celebration of 'Vivo 2018', the decision has been taken to postpone it, in order to ensure that it can be carried out under optimal conditions and that the assistants can enjoy all the programmed activities.
This decision has been consulted and transferred to all the agents involved in the event that, a few hours after the start of the assembly, have coincided in the need to postpone it to try to celebrate with the quality and safety required by this gastronomic meeting.
Therefore, the event will be held on October 26, 27 and 28, including the same activities: 'Calle de las tapas', showcooking, talks, contests, mini-gourmet workshops, concerts and boat trips.
The modifications in the program will be detailed on the event's website http://sanpedrodelpinatar.es/vivo/.
The Organization regrets the inconveniences that this measure may have caused and call on all citizens to travel to San Pedro del Pinatar, from October 26 to 29, to enjoy the First Gourmet Shrimp Encounter of the Mar Menor Live 2018.
