The councilman of Urbanism, Pedro Javier Sanchez, has clarified that the felling of trees in the street Baron de Benifayó was made with the appropriate security measures and that they will be replaced by others that do not affect the pavement, sidewalks and therefore, the safety of pedestrians.
The works of Accessibility and Modernization of the urban Center, which are in the execution phase, include the renewal of the trees in several areas of the center, such as the Plaza de la Constitución, where the number of existing trees will also be expanded, and the adjacent street of Benifayó, where they will be replaced.
The Town Planning Councilor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Pedro Javier Sanchez, explained that this renovation is contemplated from the beginning of the project "we have not hidden anything and we have explained it on several occasions, replacing the trees in this area because the current one caused problems such as the lifting and deterioration of sidewalks and pavement, "he clarified.
As for the accusations of the spokesman of Citizens of lack of security in the felling, the councilor has affirmed that "during all the process of the retirement of the trees there were several workers who cut or gave the step to the pedestrians, something that in the video disseminated by José Luis Ros is deliberately omitted. "
"Citizens in San Pedro del Pinatar again offer biased and erroneous information, with the sole objective of attacking the local government team and muddy a remodeling project and accessibility of the urban center that is being carried out with full transparency and complying with the processes and deadlines established from the beginning, "the councilor concluded.
