The Institute of Pinar del Rio joins this initiative of the European Commission, under the slogan 'Discover your talent', which aims to enhance professional training, show the various training routes offered and their potential to access quality employment.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, the general director of Vocational Training and Special Education of the Autonomous Region, Sergio López, and the director of the Secondary Education Institute Dos Mares, Luis Ramón Egío, today inaugurated the activities scheduled for the European Week of Vocational Training, in the auditorium of the House of Culture.
This Week aims to promote Vocational Training as a first-class educational choice, share examples of excellence in VET, as well as innovative teaching practices, successful professional training programs that encourage professional learning, learning at work, improvement of skills and professional recycling, as well as sustainable partnerships between business and education.
In this context, the Dos Mares Institute has scheduled conferences, round tables and workshops aimed at showing the students the wide possibilities offered by Vocational Training, bringing young people into the labor market with companies, as well as alumni already incorporated. to the world of work.
Thus, the program included this morning the conference "Pasión por la FP", by Sergio López, who has outlined the situation of Vocational Training in the Region and the new projects and actions that are being undertaken in this area.
The round table "Skills for employment" was held in the past, in which Encarnación León, director of People and Talent of Grupo Caliche, participated;
Miguel Ángel Hérchiga, Director of Projects, Technologies and Innovation of Grupo Caliche;
Isabel Andreo, Human Resources Manager of Everis, and Nathan Revil, CEO of Dorset Creative.
The activities will include during this week the activity "I studied Vocational Training", with the participation of former middle and high school graduates, in addition to the conference "working in the European Union", led by Teresa Allepuz, responsible for Europe Direct Region Murcia and first aid and motivational workshops.
Visitación Martínez has praised this initiative and the interesting program coordinated by the IES Dos Mares.

In this sense, he pointed out that San Pedro del Pinatar has, in the two public institutes of the municipality, a total of 10 Vocational Training titles, from Basic Vocational Training, through a special modality training program, to the offer in medium grade , superior, including the FP Dual program.
