The actors Juan Gea and Luis Varela will be the guests of exception in the Gala of awards ceremony of this festival, which during the month of November will bring to the stage of the House of Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar some of the theater groups most outstanding amateur of the Region and the Valencian Community.
The Councilor for Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar, Silvia Egea, today presented the 8th Amateur Theater Festival of the town, which this year will be held in November with the representation of the three finalist works and a final gala that will feature with the performance of the local group 'La Barraca de Federico' and the presence of Juan Gea and Luis Varela, outstanding national figures in the field of interpretation.
Silvia Egea explained that a total of 14 amateur theater groups from Murcia and the Valencian Community have attended this show, being selected as finalists "One night at home ... Lady", Association Teatro Coliseo de Alicante;
"Entrevías", from Grupo de Teatro del Matadero in Murcia, and "El Cianuro ... Only or with milk?", From the Apolo Theater group in El Algar.
Thus, the show will begin next Friday, November 9, with the comedy of entanglement "Una noche en su casa ... Señora", by Coliseo Teatro, an amateur company that has more than 200 performances behind its back and About thirty festivals and national exhibitions.
On November 16 it will be the turn of "Entrevías", in which the lives of the protagonists intersect in two train platforms, a montage of El Teatro del Matadero, with more than 40 years of experience on the boards.
On November 23 it will be the turn of the third finalists, the Apolo theater group from El Algar, with "El Cianuro ... Only or with milk ?, where black humor will be the protagonist of the story of a peculiar family.
The Theater Exhibition will conclude on November 30, with the representation, out of competition, of "Prohibido soñar", by La Barraca de Federico.
In addition, the awards ceremony will be held, which will be attended by Luis Varela, veteran actor with more than 50 years of experience in theater, film and television;
and the Valencian Juan Gea, known for his recent participation in successful series such as The Ministry of Time, Velvet or Apaches and in full shooting of "Hospital Valle Norte", new TVE fiction.
The jury will thus fail the prize for the best representation, endowed with 500 euros, while the second prize consists of 300 euros and the third finalist will get 200 euros.
A special prize from the Public will also be granted, through the votes of the spectators who have attended the whole show, with 200 euros.
The jury is composed of Charo García Baño, from the local theater group "La Barraca de Federico", María del Carmen Martínez Lloris, Bachelor of Art History, staff of the municipal library and a great fan of theater and literature, and Maria del Carmen. Carmen Guirao Sánchez, from the province of Pinar del Rio with a great experience in amateur theater and who since 2007 has been part of the Amigos del Tenorio and La Cómica companies.
Tickets for each performance have a single price of 3 euros and a bonus of 10 euros has also been offered for the 4 performances, which also includes the ballot.
Tickets can be purchased at the House of Culture, the Tourist Initiatives Center or the Baron de Benifayó Museum.
