The objective of this project, which was implemented in 2016 at Los Antolinos, is to allow working parents to leave their children in the school beforehand.
The Councilor for Education, Guadalupe García, has visited the morning classroom set up at the Villa Alegría school, an initiative that aims to deepen the reconciliation of family and work life, giving parents the option that children can enter the center at 07:30 hours, before the start of classes.
This project began two years ago at the Los Antolinos school, as it is the public school with the largest number of students in the municipality and, responding to the demand of parents, this course has also been implemented in Villa Alegría.
This initiative is carried out by monitors from the local association Mikaseda who carry out various activities in the morning classroom to develop the creativity of the child through games, cards, dynamics or crafts.
The council has highlighted the good reception that this morning classroom has had at Los Antolinos, where the number of students has tripled since its launch two years ago, and has indicated that the council is open to implement more classrooms of this type in other centers if there is sufficient demand.
The amount of this activity, which takes place from Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 09:00 hours, is 30 euros per month, with a reduction of 5% from the second brother.
Those interested can enroll in the Department of Education, located on the first floor of City Hall.
