The works are framed in the improvement of the accessibility of the urban helmet and the districts of San Pedro del Pinatar and will suppose an investment of more than 100,000 euros.
The City of San Pedro del Pinatar, through the Department of Neighborhoods and Districts, is carrying out the remodeling and replacement of sidewalks in different neighborhoods and major roads in the town, with the aim of improving accessibility and ensuring the safety of the passers-by
Within the framework of this action, more than 4 kilometers of sidewalks have been replaced, with new paving, the leveling of the pavement and the construction of ramps and accesses to pedestrian and ford passes.
These works have been developed in a score of streets in the town, including Taibilla Avenue, other streets in the neighborhood of Los Antolinos, the area behind the hotel Thalasia, the Calle Mayor José María Tárraga, and other roads of the town urban.
The councilor of the area, Angela Gaona, has explained these actions have been developed thanks to the reinforcement of personnel, through social collaboration programs, with the incorporation for the realization of these works of three pawns and two masonry officers, as well as to the 15 students of the mixed program of employment and training in masonry, which is carried out in collaboration with the Employment and Training Service of the Region (SEF).
He added that these actions will be extended until April in other areas of the town, reaching an investment of more than 100,000 euros, because the goal is to adapt streets and urban spaces to make them more walkable and accessible to pedestrians, while Beautify both the urban area and the neighborhoods of San Pedro del Pinatar.
