The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the councilor for citizen participation, Fuensanta García, today received the directive from the gypsy women's association Kalochí kaló "Gipsy heart".
After a period of inactivity, they have updated the collaboration file with the City Council with the aim of launching new projects aimed at promoting Roma culture and highlighting, in particular, the work of women in this community, as well as the importance of education and its inclusion from a cultural and labor perspective.
Among other objectives, this association aims to involve both women and men in the education of their children, to achieve equality from the family, promote actions with other associations, coordinate activities among older women related to their experience, while seek participation and involvement of young women to detect the needs of this group, among others.
