The mayoress of the town, Visitación Martínez, and the Councilor for Education, Guadalupe García have moved to several educational centers to explain the fundamental rights and duties set out in the 1978 Constitution.
The Department of Education of San Pedro del Pinatar has coordinated during the month of December various actions aimed at commemorating the fortieth anniversary of the Spanish Constitution and help local school children to know more in depth the Fundamental Law of the State.
Thus, the mayor, Visitación Martínez, and the Councilor for Education, Guadalupe García, have given these talks among elementary and high school students from the schools Villa Alegría, Los Pinos and San Pedro Apóstol, who have been able to learn about concepts such as the parliamentary monarchy, representative democracy, the division of powers, fundamental rights and duties or public liberties, hand in hand with their closest public representatives.
In addition, on December 4, a school meeting was held in which third and fourth grade students of the eight schools of the town participated to celebrate a "Fiesta de la Constitución" in which the national flag was not missing and the anthem of Spain, to which they put lyrics, jointly, the children of the pinatarenses schools.
The City of San Pedro del Pinatar has thus added to the commemoration of the fortieth anniversary of the Spanish Constitution, which has also included the traditional raising of flags in the same plaza Luis Molina, by local authorities, accompanied by the band municipal Musical Union.
