The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the artist from Pinar del Río, José Manuel Rebollo, inaugurated yesterday the exhibition "Fuego, magia y cristal", where the author exhibits more than twenty works made of glass on carved wooden bases. they evoke dreamlike scenes, where reality is deformed as much as the material used for its realization.
The temporary exhibition hall of the Barón de Benifayó Museum hosts until January 7 this exhibition, made up of around twenty works, in which the perfection in detail in complex figures that take us from the universe of Dali in a beautiful chess board, even an allegory to San Pedro del Pinatar, or references to the sea, or aviation.
José Manuel Rebollo, self-taught, always showed concern for art, mainly sculpture, which took him more than 30 years ago to start his work by shaping the glass to make imaginary scenes come true.
