One more year, a mysterious princess coming from the East on the back of a beautiful white horse announced to the children of San Pedro del Pinatar the imminent arrival of the Magi, accompanied by shepherds and pilgrims in charge of collecting the letters with the wishes of the most small and distribute candy from the saddlebags of a borrica.
Last Thursday, January 5, San Pedro del Pinatar welcomed the arrival of a royal emissary, a mysterious princess who, on the back of a white horse, announced the imminent arrival of the Magi.
Among the entourage of the royal emissary stood a donkey with magical saddlebags, where the children had to deposit their requests to their Majesties of the East so that their wishes could be fulfilled on the night of Kings.
The parade, organized by the Brotherhood of Santiago Apóstol and the Cultural Casino, with the collaboration of the theater group of San Javier, departed at around 8:30 pm from Barón de Benifayó Street, in front of the Church, to the Casino , in Emilio Castelar Avenue, where the princess received the little ones.
They also participated in the group of cornets and drums of Cristo del Perdón and a rondalla, which enlivened the parade with carols and popular songs.
AUTO OF THE KINGDOMS
Before the parade, the theater group of San Javier interpreted in the church San Pedro Apóstol the theatrical Christmas tale 'Herod and the flight from Egypt', with a script by José Antonio Navas and directed by Leonor Benítez.
These acts precede the traditional procession of the Magi that, after arriving by boat at Lo Pagán, around 6:00 pm, will depart today from the fishing pier to the Plaza de la Constitución.
