The Community has begun works aimed at improving the sanitation network of the urban center of San Pedro del Pinatar, an action that has involved an investment of 846,456 euros and consists of the renovation of the existing network of collectors.
The Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Miguel Angel del Amor, accompanied by the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, today visited this performance where he explained that "the collectors have a considerable antiquity, which together with aggressiveness of the water transported and the change of location of the treatment plant, have caused problems of blockages and leaks in the network ".
For this purpose, the execution of 2,335 meters of 630 and 800 millimeter PVC collectors has been planned, which will improve the sanitation service in the center of the urban area and on the Mojón road.
The counselor stressed that "these diameters increase the hydraulic capacity of the network, adapting it to the current needs that have been modified due to the great urban development of the last decades.
This action "will benefit about 200 blocks of homes and individual residences that will see their home connections and stormwater drainage improved, which is a benefit for almost two thousand people," Del Amor said.
Once the work is completed, the roadway will be paved in the roads affected by the improvement works and the necessary services will be restored.
