San Pedro del Pinatar bets in this edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) to strengthen the campaign "Salt Paradise", focusing on the gastronomic slope and also adding the extensive program of cultural and leisure proposals throughout the year .
The municipality will delve into the campaign "Salado Paradise", launched in this same fair two editions ago, which shows the beauty of the landscapes of the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales, the importance of the salt industry in the town, the benefits from the area of ​​outdoor lodotherapy, the kilometers of beaches to the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor or the rich and varied local gastronomy, all under the common denominator of salt.
This year will be mainly oriented to the promotion of gastronomy, the fishing tradition and the quality of the local product, a differentiation that is translated into specific initiatives as themed tourist visits, an incipient marine tourism or the celebration in October of an important event around to the prawn of the Mar Menor, which in its first edition combined the proposals of important chefs and outstanding restaurateurs.
In addition, this year will begin in the extensive programming of cultural activities, leisure, sports and popular festivities that are offered throughout the year in the town.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, will present this tourist offer next Thursday, January 24, at 5:00 p.m. at the stand of the Region of Murcia.
Also on Thursday, the mayor and the Councilor for Tourism, Silvia Egea, will attend the "Night Q" organized by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality, a meeting in which awards will be given to all companies and organizations that they have obtained or renewed their certification throughout 2018 with the Q of Tourist Quality.
During the whole fair, the mayor and the Councilor for Tourism, Silvia Egea, will carry out promotional and dissemination activities of this tourist offer in different Autonomous Communities, such as media campaigns in the Region, Castilla La Mancha, Madrid or the Valencian Community .
They will also hold work meetings with professionals from the sector.
In addition, San Pedro del Pinatar will share a counter with the rest of the municipalities of the Mar Menor, from where it will show the complete and varied local tourist offer.
