The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar has shared this morning a breakfast with the Council for Childhood and Adolescence, with the aim of getting to know its new members and discover the place where the plaque that distinguishes the municipality as Child-Friendly City will be placed , awarded by UNICEF
The council is a consultative body created last year composed of 17 children and adolescents of the municipality between 8 and 17 years of age, of all the schools and institutes of the town formed by Candela Ruiz of the CEIP Villa Alegria, Rayan Bouazzi of CBM Maspalomas, Khalid Saidi from CEIP Ntra Sra del Carmen, Ángela Vaquerizo y and Miguel Ángel Sánchez from CEIP Los Pinos, Carmen Martínez and Rubén Cárdenas from CEIP Los Antolinos, Pedro Crespo, Pablo Vidal and Olga Blanco from CEIP San Pedro Apóstol, Gloria Giménez, Gisela Sánchez and Juan Madrid from CEIP New Castelar, Raúl Puerta and Alexandra García from IES Dos Mares and Joaquín García and Juan Cortés from IES Manuel Tárraga.
At the meeting, which was also attended by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Francisca Pelegín, and the councilor for Citizen Participation, Fuensanta García, suggestions and questions have been transferred to the mayor and finally the place where the plaque will be voted that distinguishes the municipality as a child-friendly city, awarded by UNICEF, being the Park of the Sea Kings of Spain in Lo Pagán the winner with 6 votes in front of the 4 received by the park next to the school Los Pinos and the park Mayor José Sánchez from Maspalomas who has received 2 votes.
San Pedro del Pinatar received in 2018 the City of Childhood, which recognizes the municipality's effort to incorporate children and adolescents into the center of the political and social agenda through different initiatives, among which this Council stands out , oriented to channel and give visibility to the concerns of children and adolescents from Pinar del Rio.
