The Department of Education has granted aid to students from Pinar del Rio and university degrees who have achieved excellence in the academic field.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the councilor for Education, Guadalupe García, recognized this morning the attitude and work of 15 excellent students, eight of high school and seven university students, as they prove their academic results.
Visitación Martínez recalled that the City Council annually invites different study aids, completing those offered by other administrations, such as these awards for academic excellence, with 250 euros for the baccalaureate and 500 for the university students.
The purpose of this recognition is to reward students who have finished high school and those who are pursuing a university degree with excellent grades to encourage them to continue with their brilliant career, as well as rewarding the added effort of aspiring to the best grades.
The students recognized in high school are María Martínez Quiles, Belén Martínez Lorente, who obtained an Honorable Mention;
Mario Guirao Carbonell, Nuria López García, Ángela Martínez Martínez, Julia Alice Vasilache and Mariela Lorente Hernández, all of them with Honors, and Francisco José Alvarado Alcón, who has also obtained the first extraordinary high school award of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
In university degrees, distinguished students have been Juan Guillermo Carrasco Martínez (Telematics Engineering), José Henarejos Blasco (Computer Engineering), Juan Salvador Romero Navarro (Food Science and Technology), Chafik Zouine Lakbir (Medicine), Lorena Esperanza Tristante Pellicer ( Law and Business Administration and Management), María del Mar Escudero Peñalver (Economics) and Ouassim Amallah (Business Administration and Management).
