This infrastructure has an area of ​​1,500 square meters and stands for 240 people and will be available for training and other sports activities next March.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitaicón Martínez, today visited the construction works of the auxiliary pavilion in the municipal sports center, a covered track of 1,500 square meters, which is located in the central area of ​​the municipal cross field and which will respond to the space needs of clubs and users of the municipal sports center.
The works are already in their final phase of execution and the pavilion will be fully completed in the first half of March, giving service to clubs, sports associations, municipal schools and users of the municipal sports center.
This auxiliary pavilion, 1,500 square meters and an investment of more than 500,000 euros, has a covered metal structure, concrete enclosures and perimeter sidewalk, and will be equipped with parquet flooring and a stand for 240 people.
Thus, this space can be used to practice different sports disciplines such as indoor football, basketball, basketball, volleyball or badminton, among others.
Visitación Martínez highlighted the commitment of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar for sports, which in recent years has been reflected in a total transformation of the municipal sports center, expanding and improving its facilities, with new tracks and cross-country, mountain bike, beach soccer, 3x3 basketball or skating, which culminate now with the launch of the new pavilion.
