The City Council allocates 30,000 euros per year for free transport vouchers for young people, the unemployed, pensioners, large families and people at risk of exclusion.
The Local Government Board of San Pedro del Pinatar approved the extension of the agreement signed between the City Council and La Inmaculada coaches, for the promotion of mobility by public transport by bus for certain groups.
This aid to transport, in force since 2013, provides for free urban bus service, through bonuses, to young people, pensioners, large families, the unemployed and people at risk of social exclusion.
Autocares La Inmaculada provides service in the municipality with different lines that connect the urban area with the beach area, the surrounding municipalities, the Balsicas Mar Menor railway station and the Los Arcos Hospital.
In 2018 a total of 23,950 transport vouchers were delivered, redeemable for free tickets, with the group of pensioners and those over 65 being the largest claimant of this service, with a total of 11,920 vouchers.
