The concessionaire company is working on the construction of the 14 pergolas that will protect the students from six public schools in the city from the sun, and that will also give a modern and unified image in the playgrounds.
The project to extend the shadows of the schools, with an approximate 270,000 euros, proposes the installation of 14 light industrialized structures, which gives coverage to 50 square meters of shade and which only requires a small preparation of the land for its implementation.
The Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the Councilor for Education, Guadalupe García, have seen a prototype of these shadows, prepared by the Genneo Architecture and Design studio, with the innovative technology of 3D printing, technical in the who are pioneers at the regional level.
In addition, the construction work of these pergolas is in full production phase, since the successful bidder Servimar is building the bases of the same and it is expected that for the last quarter of the course are installed in the playgrounds of schools.
For this design, the architect Francisco José Gómez, has evoked nature, recreating the shapes of flowers to imitate a vegetable garden in the courtyards and outdoor areas of the schools of the town.
To do this, the structure is made up of a central mast and a pergola hanging in the shape of double clover, which allows the rotation of the leaves.
Thus, five of these structures will be installed in Los Antolinos school, three in Los Pinos, two in Nuestra Señora del Carmen, two in Villa Alegría, one in Las Esperanzas and one in the Maspalomas child center.
With this initiative, the centers will have more space to carry out outdoor activities safe from solar radiation, while creating a current and modern image of the schools in the town.
