The municipality of Marmeno on Sunday lived one of the most multitudinous Carnival parades in its history that hundreds of people followed in the street.
The streets of San Pedro del Pinatar once again hosted the Grand Carnival Parade, which departed at 5:00 pm on Avenida Emilio Castelar, next to the Cultural Casino, and which was followed by hundreds of people all the way to the municipal tent , where the prizes were given to the local comparsas and visitors.
The futuristic costumes of the Kebanna Ballet opened the parade, followed by the marine world of 'Como tu quieras', together with Don Carnal and Doña Cuaresma, the protagonists of Aladín, the Los Pinos School and the garden with local airs of the elders of the home of the pensioner with the Comparsa Años Dorados, and the football players of the comparsa 'Güeno hair'.
The Amas de Casa association also participated in the parade, becoming distinguished ladies of the time, hundreds of little superheroes from the N ° 1 Nursery School, the elegant flamencos of the comparsa Estrellas glamurosas and the Viking landing of Kalochi Kaló.
They closed the participation of local comparsas the impressive trellises of the New Wave of the Mar Menor, and the brotherhood of the shrimp of the Association of Anglo-Speakers ADAPT.
Kimbara opened the procession of invited troupes with the fantasy 'Lithuania.

After the parade, the mayor of the town, Visitación Martínez, and the councilman of Celebrations, Javier Castejón, delivered the carnival prizes in the municipal tent in different categories, together with the members of the jury, composed by the singer Salva Ortega, the presenter of Radio Sureste, Azucena Sánchez and the choreographer Santi García of the Replay Academy, and Don Carnal and Doña Cuaresma.
Thus, in the category of local comparsas, the third prize of 200 euros went to The Golden Years, the second of 400 euros went to Glamorous Stars and the 600 of the first prize, Kebanna.
The nursery school No. 1 was the best school comparsa with 200 euros, while La Nueva Ola del Mar Menor got a prize for its two Muses, 300 euros for adults and 150 for children.
The visiting comparsas also received prizes from the jury, the third of 200 euros went to Samaná, the 400 euros of the second one was won by the comparsa Desafío and the first prize endowed with 600 euros was for Shambala.
The adult muse, endowed with 300 euros, went to Baracay and the jury decided to award the prize for the best choreography, a new modality, to Nuevo Encanto.
This year, the Department of Celebrations has allocated an economic aid of 200 euros for all the participating troupes that with their joy and effort keep the illusion alive in this party.
