The ceramics and the vegetation are the protagonists of this space that pretends to be also a resting area, which allows to enjoy the views of the Mar Menor and connects with the seafront of La Puntica.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, together with the architect from Pinar del Río, Bernardo Cerrato, and the councilors of Urbanism, Pedro Javier Sánchez, and Obras y Servicios, Ángela Gaona, visited today the new pedestrian access to the promenade, which connects with Magallanes street, a space that has been conceived as a large window to the Mar Menor.
This action, which has involved an investment of close to 85,000 euros, has consisted of the demolition of an old pub to turn the area into a walk to the sea, a street lounge, which will also serve as a rest for pedestrians, with a large bench and large flower pots.
The person in charge of the project, the local architect Bernardo Cerrato has emphasized that a domestication of the public space has been approached, creating a cozy place, with the ceramics and the vegetation as protagonists.
Thus, in one of the margins, a large flowerpot with aromatic species and a vine that will cover the wall has been installed, while in the other margin a large bench has been built.
The works for the total adaptation of this space will culminate throughout this week with the installation of a network as a shadow and its lighting.
