The general director of Educational Centers, Remedios Lajara, accompanied by the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the councilor for Education, Guadalupe García, presented the expansion project to the board and the AMPA of the center, whose works will begin to end of this year and will culminate during the 2019-2010 academic year.

Lajara explained that the project, which involves a budget of 338,000 euros, has already been hired.

The works will consist of unifying the entire educational center and joining the Infantil classrooms with the main primary pavilion, currently separated.

To this end, the main headquarters will be expanded by 390 square meters with two classrooms for Early Childhood Education and a multi-purpose classroom, as well as an office for the administrative services of the school.

In addition, the project includes the installation of an elevator and external ramp, to provide accessibility to the center;

direct access to the infantile module and the conditioning of the outdoor patio.

With this action, said the general director, "we will benefit the educational quality of 70 children demonstrating, once again, the commitment of the regional government to provide the necessary spaces so that students in the region can receive the best education."
