The Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, today announced at the beginning of March plenary an institutional declaration on the occasion of International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8, in which she insisted on the need to continue working to achieve real equality between men and women.
In addition, it has demanded social justice, equity and equal treatment for women around the world, as well as the joint work of institutions and citizens to implement the principle of gender equality transversally in areas such as education, culture or education. sport.
ASSIGNMENT OF LANDS TO THE CHURCH
Among other points, the plenary session has approved, with the votes in favor of PP, Ciudadanos and the non-attached councilor, and the abstention of PSOE and Ganar San Pedro;
the cession of municipal property land on which the Temple of the Holy Trinity is built to the parish of San Pedro Apóstol, dependent on the Bishopric of Cartagena included within the Spanish Catholic Church.
The councilor of the Treasury, José Fernández, explained that, after the reparcelling of the urban plan in which the temple is located, this procedure is carried out to make the cession effective to an institution whose purposes result, in an evident and positive way, in benefit of the inhabitants of the municipal district.
