Last Saturday, March 9, the Holy Week of San Pedro del Pinatar granted the title of Processionist of the year after a Eucharist in the church of St. Peter the Apostle of the town, Antonio Agustín Lorenzo Conde.
The president of the Superior Council of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Holy Week, Mariano Visedo was commissioned to deliver this distinction, after praising the figure of Lorenzo Conde, a person closely linked to life and the Holy Week in Pinar del Rio.
Antonio Agustín Lorenzo Conde was born in Valencia in 1933, after studying Commerce, he arrived in San Pedro del Pinatar as responsible for the Agricultural Exploitation "Lo Romero" with the main objective of transforming the farm from dry farming to irrigated farming and boosting production of fruits and vegetables.
Of close and kind character, undertook numerous social projects.
In 1970 he was elected president of the Cultural Casino, also in the 70s organized the Local Board of the Fight Against Cancer, and received along with his wife, Carmen Llorens the title of Adoptive Children of San Pedro del Pinatar.
He has always collaborated, both he and his family, with the Brotherhood of St. John the Evangelist of which he was even president and has received numerous awards and appointments of other Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of the Holy Week in Pinar del Rio.
