The Councilor not attached to the City of San Pedro del Pinatar, Pedro Fenol, affiliated with the political formation VOX has denounced in the Municipal Plenary held on March 7 "the incompetence of the City Council governed by the Popular Party in relation to the works that are are carrying out in the coastal municipality "the works, says Fenol," are just another example of the absurdity of the current government group, led by Mayor Visitación Martínez, when carrying out some works that, understanding the complexity that works of this scope are coupled, demonstrate the ineffectiveness at the time of its coordination, supervision and control, as well as a lack of responsibility to not accept it and refer it to the concessionaire of the works. "
One of the main problems of these works is the lack of signage and reorganization of traffic, finding the neighbors and visitors of the Municipality, streets cut without warning, complete lack of indication of alternative routes and lack of security, which has been evident in the accident suffered by a village neighbor who fell to the ground injuring herself, resulting in a fracture, one of her arms.
Another of the serious problems of this work has been the installation on the N-332, Av. Dr. Artero Guirao, general road that crosses the municipality, of a new lampposts that by their design and dimensions, apparently breach the regulations of road safety.
According to the general norm of the Ministry of Public Works, "the maximum established height of the vehicles, including the load, may be 4.00 meters, 4.20 meters, for Class I Urban buses and up to 4.50 meters maximum height will be allowed , including loading for container carriers, vehicle carriers and towing vehicles. "
Once made different measurements, it was found that the streetlights in certain sections of the N-332 would not comply with the established, having less than 4 meters some of them.
Councilman Fenol, requested in the same Plenary that the general artery of the Municipality not be opened to traffic until the streetlights were removed or the problem was corrected to which the City Council replied in plenary "that if there was any deficiency it would be corrected" and that "the responsibility of the work would do what was necessary".
In addition, according to Fenol, all this accumulation of irregularities do nothing but highlight the rush of the current government team to have completed some works that coincidentally coincide with the start of the election campaign, taking advantage of everyone's money to finance their own campaign .
From VOX, we believe that different governments should work to ensure the interests of all citizens and not only for electoral purposes that do nothing but harm the citizen seeking their own benefit.
