The Plaza de la Constitución and the streets and adjoining spaces hosted the afternoon of Friday, March 15, the start of the Salt Shopping campaign, with more than three hours of activities.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, accompanied by the general director of Commerce, Francisco Abril, explained that the objective of this campaign, which will be carried out every Saturday until May 25, is to "fill with life the renewed urban center, adding a new attraction to this commercial heart of the town. "
Thus, from Saturday March 16 to May 25, free performances will be held for all audiences, which will be completed with a raffle, also weekly, with different prizes, among the participants, who can get their tickets at the shops adhered to the campaign.
For his part, Francisco Abril valued this type of initiative and the role of small businesses not only as an economic engine and generator of quality employment in the Region "also as a catalyst for our streets, cities and towns".
The Musical Union was in charge of starting this day with 'Music on the Street, musical brushstrokes', starting with small groups that played well known songs in different points of Emilio Castelar Avenue and ended with a concert in the Plaza de la Constitución.
Afterwards, the youngest children enjoyed the entertainment of children, with mosquitoes, clowns and a large elephant that toured with their giant balls the squares of the Constitution and Spain.
The small ballet Coppelia relied on Grease's classic music for her performance, giving way to the local singer Andrés Ballester, who played guitar, delighted the audience with his versions and the urban dance closed this day with a flashmob in the Plaza de la Constitution by Ballet Kebanna.
In addition, Churrería Víctor wanted to join this campaign start by distributing 300 portions of churros for free between the participants in the performances and the audience.
