The municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar is among the six municipalities of the Region that have obtained this distinction awarded by the Laboratory of Journalism and Communication for Plural Citizenship (LPCCP) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
The City of San Pedro del Pinatar has obtained for the third consecutive year the InfoParticipa seal, which certifies the quality and transparency of local public communication and which is granted as a result of the study carried out by the LPCCP, in collaboration with the universities of Murcia and UCAM, in which the transparency of municipal websites is assessed through 52 indicators, adapted to the Transparency Law, with San Pedro del Pinatar standing at 92.31% compliance.
This seal is considered the highest distinction, above 90%, and has also been obtained by Cartagena (100%), Las Torres de Cotillas (100%), Lorquí (96.15%) Alcantarilla (94.23%) and Eagles (92.31).
The InfoParticipa Map is a tool that the UAB LPCCP has been promoting since 2012 to promote transparency and the quality of information from local administrations.
