The Department of Equality has dedicated the month of March to the commemoration of International Women's Day with various activities related to culture, education and empowerment.
This Wednesday, March 27, has completed the program organized by the Department of Youth on the occasion of International Women's Day, with the analysis of the classic Madame Bovary in the framework of the reading club Salicornia.
During the month of March have been many activities organized to make visible the figure of women in different areas such as art, culture, and other areas of society, through contests aimed at students of schools in the municipality, lectures on empowerment and strengthening the sense of worth, photographic exhibition, literary encounter, a presentation on women in art, etc.
Within the framework of the reading club, one of the masterpieces of French literature has been tackled, breaking with the moral and literary conventions of the 19th century bourgeoisie.
