The Department of Culture has scheduled activities during the month of April to encourage reading and value and disseminate the work of authors of the Region.
The City of San Pedro del Pinatar joins this year to the celebration of the Children's Book and Youth Day next Tuesday, April 2, with the presentation of the book "El Patito Resfriado", by the Murcian writer Francisca Martínez Merino, which will continue a storyteller by the author, in addition to games and other activities for the little ones.
Francisca Martínez (Fuente Álamo, 1959) is a poet, writer and child educator.
She is the author of several children's stories and two poetry books, she has also prefaced several books and collaborated in anthologies, as well as coordinating poetry contest in her hometown for more than 20 years.
This act will be held in the garden of the House of Culture, from 18:30 hours, and will be the precedent to the activities of April 23, International Book Day, which this year will include a "fishing tales", the delivery of the Sixth Short Story Competition 'La Sal' and the presentation of the book by Francisco Javier Illlán Vivas "1,314 of Venganza del Templario".
Francisco Illán Vivas (Molina de Segura, 1958) writer and editor, treasures more than a dozen published works, both poetry and narrative, in addition to highlighting as director of several literary magazines and promote contests and literary contests, in addition to supporting other activities cultural activities, many of them in San Pedro del Pinatar.
