Last night the National Contest of Composition of Processional Marches 'Villa of San Pedro of the Pinatar 2019' organized by the City council of San Pedro del Pinatar, in collaboration with the Musical Union Association and the Cabildo Superior of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Holy Week of San Pedro del Pinatar.
Thus, the public was able to enjoy in the Church of the Holy Trinity of the five finalist marches that the Jury selected from the total of 46 compositions that this edition was submitted to the contest, masterfully performed in an extraordinary concert by the Municipal Music Band "Unión Musical "directed by Bartolomé Martínez.
Finally, the Luz march composed by Rafael Gómez and the Santana march of the author Pablo López obtained the fifth and fourth place with € 100 of prize each.
The third prize of € 300 went to Álvaro Cámara and his Alea Iacta Est march. In second place, with € 500, was the composition of Eugenio Llopis entitled Fé y Pasión and the first prize endowed with € 1,000 was for the Prex march composed by Álvaro Alejandro Ortuñedo
To close the ceremony, the Cabildo Superior handed over the score of the winning march to Mariano Saez, president of the Brotherhood of the Holy Grail.
