The Local Government Board approved the tender for the contract for the drafting of the project for maintenance and improvement of both seafront promenades, which occupy an area of ​​20,000 square meters.
The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar approved in the Government Board the tender of the drafting service for the project of maintenance and improvement of the promenade of the beaches of La Puntica and Villananitos, for an amount of 110,000 euros, for the writing of the Basic Project and of Execution, the Study of Security and Health and the direction of Work and Coordination of Security and Health of the same.
The aim of this project is to highlight the maritime façade of the town, in its slope to the Mar Menor, an enclave of great socio-economic value within the urban fabric.
Thus, the objective of it is to provide this space by the sea with greater functionality and accessibility, adapting itineraries, accesses, levels and surfaces;
as well as the updating of street lighting and furniture.
The works, which cover a total area of ​​20,000 square meters are divided into two lots, one of them includes the performances on the seafront of La Puntica, from Varadero street to the end of the municipality on its border with San Javier and another in the route through the Campoamor street until the meeting of this one with Catalonia street.
In both areas work will be carried out to remodel the walk, replacement of the perimeter wall that separates the strip with sand from the seafront, execution of a new bike path at the level of the sidewalk, renewal of street furniture and lighting technology LED, among other actions.
The works will have a maximum execution period of six months, avoiding the high season to reduce the inconvenience to neighbors and users of public roads.
