The Councilman of Fairs, Celebrations and Sports, Javier Castejón;
the Councilor for Tourism and Culture, Silvia Egea, and the mayor of Commerce, Lydia Sanchez, presented today the VIII Sea World Exhibition, an event dedicated to the sea and its environment that takes place from April 18 to 21 in San Pedro del Pinatar .
Javier Castejón explained that it is about offering neighbors and visitors of the town an extensive program of daytime and family leisure, which complements the acts and parades of Holy Week.
Thus, it will be developed in various scenarios such as the Lo Pagán esplanade, the Nautical Activities Center, the beaches of Villananitos and Puntica, or the Regional Park.
Thus, the Lo Pagán esplanade will permanently host a marine craft market with children's workshops, theatrical performances, fire shows, etc;
from 10 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Also on this stage will be held on Saturday, April 20, a demonstration and tasting of Cauldron, for the benefit of the Spanish Association against Cancer and carried out by the fishermen's brotherhood in the esplanade of Lo Pagán, from 12:00 to 14:00.
For the little ones the tent will host on Thursday, April 18 the Cantajuegos "Surcando los marres del Sur" and on Friday 19, the musical show "Animales Marinos", at 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday 20 "Pirate Party" , at 8:00 p.m.
In the sports field, the beach of La Puntica will host from April 15 to 19 the Beach Soccer Children's Open, while in Villananitos a Beach Volleyball Open will be held on April 19.
New this year will also be a hiking route of 18 kilometers on Thursday, April 18, leaving at the Paseo de La Mota, and on April 20 will be held a meeting of Swimming and swimrum, a new sport that combines swimming and they run in multiple transitions.
In addition, the Nautical Activities Center has programmed various master classes and "nautical baptisms" for kayaking, stand a paddle surfing, sailing and windsurfing.
For its part, the Councilor for Tourism, Silvia Egea, has indicated that this edition will return to bet on the natural park of Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro and its surroundings, with an extensive program of guided tours in the morning and afternoon, which includes the routes "Salinero Landscape" and "Sunset between Mills", in addition to the environmental activity "Immerse yourself in the Realm of the Posidonia", which will take place on Saturday, April 21, at the Visitor Center of Las Salinas , which will offer different permanent activities throughout the Holy Week.
The initiative "Enjoy the beach with the family" also moves to this Sea World Exhibition, with activities every day from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on La Puntica beach, such as pintacaras, balloon twisting, handicrafts, bubble football, flight of kites, etc.
For its part, the councilor of Commerce, Lydia Sanchez, has reported the "Route of the marine cap", which will be held from 12 to 21 April, with the participation of 14 shops catering, offering a variety of cuisine, with sweet and savory dishes, at a price of 2.5 euros with drink.
Participants in the route who obtain a minimum of six stamps may participate in the drawing of three prizes: a trip for two people, a lunch or dinner for two people, and a spa session.
These activities are completed with the IX Nautical Fair of the Region of Murcia, in the Marina of Las Salinas and the Holy Week exhibition "Heritage and History of the Confraternity of the Blessed Virgin of Los Dolores", in the Baron de Benifayó Museum .
During this Holy Week and with the aim of publicizing the cultural, sports and leisure offer, as well as the processional parades, declared of regional tourist interest, the Tourist Initiatives Center schedule and the Tourist Information Point of Villananitos will be from 10:00 to 14:00, from Thursday to Sunday.
There will also be an information booth on the Lo Pagán esplanade from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
