San Pedro del Pinatar will host the seventh edition of the Pinatarius Obstaculum Cursus popular race on June 22, a fun 10-kilometer tour and more than twenty obstacles that will put the resistance of hundreds of participants to the test again.
The councilman of Sports of San Pedro del Pinatar, Javier Castejón, and the Sports Director, José Ramón Moya, have presented today on the beach of La Puntica, along with representatives of the Roman Term Hermenegildo Fresneda, the seventh edition of the popular race Pinatarius Obstaculum Cursus, which will be held on June 22 in the framework of the festivities with the theme of Ancient Rome and its competitions as a reference.
Javier Castejón has pointed out that it is one of the star events in the town, so each year we are looking to surprise the participants of this fun race.
Therefore, this year the route is around 10 kilometers, returns to the beach for water obstacles and incorporates new obstacles.
The day of June 23 will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the "Pinatarius Impuves", which make up the different children's races and that takes place entirely in the cross circuit and the surroundings of the municipal sports center.
At 7:00 p.m., the "Pinatarius Absolutum" will start, a fun test where the participants will take the start in batches;
the first wave will be for the elite category with the option to podium, and the remaining waves for popular participation.
Runners will leave the municipal cross circuit and must overcome about 30 obstacles along roads, shrubs, sand, uneven ground, slippery surfaces, beaches, etc.
