Ciudadanos has expressed its commitment to build a new underground public parking in Lo Pagán, specifically in the park adjacent to the school Nuestra Seńora del Carmen.
The project would involve the construction of an underground parking and the creation of a new green area on the surface, with the aim of solving the serious parking problem that exists in Lo Pagán during the high season, especially during Easter and summer.
At the same time, Citizens is committed to the creation of a new quality green area, with abundant trees and vegetation, in response to requests from neighbors in the area, who have been insistently asking for it in recent years, including by collecting signatures , that the park be reformed.
Precisely it was Citizens who brought such demands to the municipal Plenary.
The candidate for mayor of Citizens, José Luis Ros, said that "the proposal we put on the table can generate around 750 new parking spaces that are very necessary for the tourist growth of San Pedro del Pinatar."
Ros has remarked that "when summer comes it is almost impossible to park near the beach of Lo Pagán, which generates a very significant loss of income and growth for our municipality."
In addition, the orange formation has criticized the current government of the PP, which says "has not done anything to solve this problem, has even recently renovated the park of the Lo Pagán esplanade and has not opted to create a parking in it.
The PP has significantly reduced the parking spaces, and its only occurrence was the pilgrim idea of putting blue zone on the entire beach.
We commit ourselves to there will be no other blue zone in the municipality. "
