The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, who assumes his third mandate at the head of the municipal government, bets on the takeover of the new Municipal Corporation by the consensus of all political groups to face the challenges of the future.
The Plenary Hall of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar has hosted the extraordinary plenary session of the new Municipal Corporation, in which Visitación Martínez has been appointed mayor for the 2019-2023 term, after obtaining her candidacy the vote of 11 the 21 councilors that make up the plenary.

Visitación Martínez has announced the development of new measures such as the renovation of tourist infrastructures, the reduction of taxes that benefit families and businesses, the improvement of citizen security or new conciliation and family policies.
In addition, he has extended his hand to members of the opposition "to reach agreements, following the path initiated by this legislature through the work of the Board of Spokespersons, which has resulted in thirty joint motions related to topics of general interest such as tourism, environment, education, health or equality ".
The first mayor has also committed to "continue to offer channels of communication with the neighbors to govern by your hand, attending to their real needs, while encouraging spaces for debate and participation."
"We will work every day for all the neighbors, to improve their quality of life and to make them feel proud of this great town that is San Pedro del Pinatar," he concluded.
The San Pedro del Pinatar City Council corporation for the 2019-2023 legislative period has been made up of 11 PP councilors, 5 from the PSOE, 3 from Ciudadanos and 2 from Vox.
