Students from the institutes of San Pedro del Pinatar have promoted healthy behaviors and their rejection of tobacco in images shared on social networks, within the framework of this initiative of the Department of Social Welfare, promoted on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day.
A total of 105 young people have participated in the first contest of photography of the World No Tobacco Day convened by the Department of Social Welfare through the social network instagram, with the aim of raising awareness among this group about the risks of smoking and encourage habits and healthy behaviors with the images they share on social networks.
Students from the IES Manuel Tárraga Escribano, IES Dos Mares, CEC San Pedro Apóstol and New Castelar College have participated in this initiative.
Thus, the Councilor for Social Welfare, Fuensanta García, handed out seven prizes, endowed with vouchers of 60 and 50 euros exchangeable for sports equipment to the following participants:

The participants have shared more than a hundred photos with the hastag # yonofumosp, in which they have reflected in a very creative way their vision about the risks of smoking and their commitment to healthy leisure.
This initiative is part of the municipal plan for the prevention of drug addiction, which also includes the inclusion in the autonomic program Argos 2018, for the awareness and prevention of alcohol consumption among young people.
In the framework of this activity, Pablo Hernández Ros, from New Castelar College, Violeta Ruiz Martínez, from IES Manuel Tárraga Escribano and Miguel Cabrera Martínez, from CEC San Pedro Apóstol, have also been awarded a tablet.
