This popular night race, held in the vicinity of the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro, brought together on Saturday night, July 13, around 800 athletes of all ages under the full moon.
The marina Marina de las Salinas hosted the sixth edition of the Pinatar Full Moon Race that again had a great participation of atlases who toured, under the light of the moon, the unique environment of the natural park Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro .
A unique natural landscape, in which runners faced different surfaces, such as asphalt and sand, which makes this test a benchmark in the regional calendar;
an encounter that in this edition, added more than 800 registered, reaching the limit of the 600 runners in absolute category and around 200 children and young people in the categories of prebenjamines to juveniles, in the dock of the marina.
The race had a circular route of 7.5 kilometers, in which participants toured the road parallel to the salt ponds, the avenue of El Puerto, trails of the Regional Park and the natural beach of Torre Derribada.
The runner Francisco Pastor, of Inassa Premium Team, was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 25:31, followed by Christie Hurren, of CA Puerto Torrevieja, with 26:28, and José Antonio Gonzálvez, who crossed the line of goal in 26 minutes and 49 seconds.
In the female category, Ana Isabel Cánovas, from Mobel Automenor, was the first classified with a time of 29:14, followed by Inmaculada Pérez, from CT Santomera, with 30:49 in the qualifying time, and in third place, Esther Nicolás , from Grupo Alcáraz (31:38).
The Councilor for Sports, Pedro Antonio Vivancos and the manager of Puerto Marina de las Salinas, Domingo Macanás, were in charge of delivering the trophies and medals in the different categories.
