The coastal town celebrated on Monday, July 15, the traditional offering of fruits and flowers in honor of the Virgin of Carmen, which precedes the festivities of July 16, onomastics of the patron saint of fishermen.
Dozens of faithful participated in the procession from the Virgen del Mar Residence, of the Franciscan Sisters, to the church of Nuestra Seńora del Carmen, where the offering was made, dressed as fishermen and huertanos;
while the rock El Caldero entertained the tour with regional dances.
Subsequently, the folk group performed in the park of the Sea Kings of Spain.
Also participating in the procession were the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, the Mayor of the Fishermen's Association, Jesús Antonio Gómez, the reigns of the third age, children, and youth, and members of the Municipal Corporation.
