The beach of Torre Derribada has hosted today an informative and environmental awareness activity, within the framework of the campaign "0% Plastics in Natural Areas of the Region of Murcia", which was attended by the Director General of Natural Environment, Consuelo Rosauro and the Councilor for Tourism and Environment of San Pedro del Pinatar, Silvia Egea.
This campaign, which bears the motto "Plastic, in the end, you eat it", proposes a series of good practices to reduce the use of plastics in these natural spaces, such as the use of canteens, lunch boxes, cloth bags or reusable cutlery .
Thus, throughout the morning, users of the Torre Derribada beach have been informed of the importance of reducing the consumption of plastic in their daily life, since it never disappears, it is integrated into nature and they end up, in many cases in the sea.
In addition, a game has been proposed to bathers, for the collection of waste on this beach, and the staff of the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales has offered information on "The treasures of a natural beach".
