After the transfer of the image from the church of Our Lady of Carmen, in Lo Pagán, about 1,500 people, both neighbors and vacationers, attended the Mass in Honor of the Christ of the Mar Menor which was also attended by the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, accompanied by Esperanza Moreno, Minister of Culture and Education, Miriam Pérez, General Director of Family and Social Policy, and other local councilors and authorities.
The campaign mass, organized by the Brotherhood of the Blessed Christ of the Mar Menor, was celebrated for more than a decade, on the third Sunday of August in the Mar Reyes de Espańa park, located next to the Lo Pagán esplanade, at Finally, the image returned to its parish, carried by the banners and accompanied by hundreds of faithful.
