The figure of hotel occupancy in San Pedro del Pinatar reached 89.76% during the month of August, which represents an increase of 2.33 points compared to the same period of the previous year.
San Pedro del Pinatar has a total of 1,424 hotel beds, of which 1,066 are concentrated in hotels and apartments of 3 and 4 stars, in which the occupation has been estimated at 93.86% in the month of August.
This increase in hotel occupancy was also reflected in the month of July, the average being set at 73.81%, which represents an increase of 2.89 points compared to July 2018.
This favorable trend in the tourism sector has also been reflected in other areas such as cultural and leisure, with a broad participation in the activities programmed by the City Council, as well as in the consumption of water or electricity.
The Councilor for Tourism, Silvia Egea, has detailed in this regard that throughout the months of July and August more than thirty musical, cultural and leisure activities have been scheduled, such as concerts, festivals, street theater, children's performances , projections of a hundred, sporting events, parades, etc;
which have added 68,000 attendees, with an average attendance of more than 2,000 people per activity.
Also during the summer period the municipal offer has been reinforced to favor work and family reconciliation, with the municipal summer schools, the playroom in the Emerging Arts and Leisure Center or the summer campuses organized by the different sports clubs and the pool municipal.
