The City Council and the school community have reinforced this year the measures aimed at the reconciliation of family and work life, with more morning classrooms, the expansion of the dining room service and places for children from 0 to 3 years.
In addition, the 30,000 euros in study aid and 10,000 euros for the municipal book bank are maintained.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez and the Councilor for Education, Carmen María López, have visited the local schools on the occasion of the start of the school year, where they have announced news for this 2019-2020 course such as the extension of the morning classrooms and the dining room service.
Thus, the mayor has indicated that "as a result of this collaboration between the school community and the City Council, we have made progress in different measures aimed at improving the conditions that allow Pinatarense families to reconcile work and family life."
Thus, this course reinforces the morning classroom service, which was already operational in Los Antolinos and Villa Alegría, also offering this course in Los Pinos, giving the option for children to enter the center from 07:30 hours.
Another novelty in this area is the expansion of the dining room service, thanks to the implementation of a free municipal transport that will allow 50 children to be transferred from different schools to Las Esperanzas, where this service is offered.
The mayor recalled that this course also expands the offer of places for children from 0 to 3 years, with the opening of the Los Limoneros Infant School, which joins the Los Pescadores Infant School and the El Palmeral CAI, which attend 150 children each course.
As well as the offer of private nurseries, which serve more than 130 children.
DIRECT HELP TO THE STUDY
The mayor has also reported that this year will be allocated again, as in previous courses, 30,000 euros to study aid for mobility, school supplies and excellence at different educational levels.
Thus, 10,000 euros are allocated to 200 grants of 50 euros for the acquisition of school supplies in early childhood education.
Those interested can apply for this benefit from September 16 to 25 at the Department of Education.
4,950 euros are also earmarked for 66 grants of 75 euros for paramaterial students of training and high school courses who study at centers in San Pedro del Pinatar.
The mobility of students in training and high school courses in specialties not taught in the locality and university students is endowed with 10,050 euros that are divided into 67 grants of 150 euros.
Those interested in these grants for material and mobility in training cycles, high school and university studies, may apply from October 14 to 23 at the Department of Education.
In addition, the bases and deadlines for grants to excellent students will be approved in the near future, which will consist of 5,000 euros in grants of 250 and 500 euros for excellent students who have finished high school or who are studying at university, respectively.
On the other hand, the Department of Education has allocated 10,000 euros this year to the financing of the municipal book bank, coordinated by FAPA Pinatar, which during the summer has distributed around 1400 primary and secondary books, benefiting 234 families from Pinar del Rio.
