The concessionary company has reinforced preventive and larvicidal treatments in waterlogged areas of the Salinas y Arenas Regional Park, spraying in local parks and gardens, as well as in other areas where standing water has been detected.
The Department of Health and the concession company of the Pest Control Service in the municipality, Belmonte Environmental Hygiene, have reinforced this week the programmed treatments for the control of mosquitoes in the town, after the proliferation of this insect by the temporary DANA and effects of it.
Thus, programmed preventive treatments against mosquitoes have been reinforced, with special emphasis on the control of larvae in the encharcable areas of the Municipality and the Salinas y Arenales Regional Park in San Pedro.
In parks and gardens, the programming carried out for the control of mosquitoes is followed, being reinforced in those areas where it is detected that there is an adult population.
In private areas, residents who visit the town hall are being visited for the presence of mosquitoes, to assess the possible private sources they may have on their property or those of their neighbors.
Due to the large amount of water dropped in the municipality, any container that is left in outer areas contains water, becoming foci where mosquito larvae develop, so it is recommended that the plots, patios, terraces, etc. be checked to eliminate them and notify the Department of Health if there are closed homes in which it is believed that there may also be accumulated water.
