The residents of San Pedro del Pinatar may include proposals on which projects or initiatives will be allocated 200,000 euros of investments from their municipal budget for the year 2020.
The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar, through the Department of Citizen Participation and in coordination with the other areas of municipal management, is already preparing the 2020 participatory budget process, in which residents will directly decide what to allocate 200,000 Euros from the investment chapter.
In this initial phase, the different councils have put together several proposals in the field of Education, Urban Planning, Youth, Sports, Senior Citizens, Culture and Citizen Participation, attending to the demands and needs that citizens transfer through these departments.
During the month of October the Department of Citizen Participation will carry out face-to-face workshops in neighborhoods and districts, as well as with different social groups, such as associations of the elderly, women, youth, as well as the Council of Children and Adolescents, collecting the proposals of the themselves and explaining the initiatives that start from the session.
In addition, for all those people who cannot attend the face-to-face workshops, an application will be made available to the residents on the municipal website in which all the registered members, from 16 years of age, will be able to present their proposals from 7 to 13 October.
Subsequently, it will be evaluated by a technical commission which of these proposals are technically, administratively and economically viable and those proposals that are of municipal competence, do not exceed 200,000 euros and are not contemplated in the investments of the year will be raised to the vote of the neighbors 2020
Selected proposals may be voted by registered residents from 16 years of age, in the week of November 18 to 22, in person at the Citizen Service Office, Nursing Homes of San Pedro del Pinatar and Lo Pagán, and online on the platform enabled on the municipal website.
Thus, the winning proposal will be raised together with the Treasury file for approval in the Plenary of approval of the 2020 budget.
