The programming is dedicated especially to the rhythms of the American continent and this year incorporates 'Allegretto', a didactic concert for children.
The streets of San Pedro del Pinatar will be filled this weekend with music with the celebration from Friday until Sunday of the 'Allegro' festival, in which concerts and gastronomy in the urban environment are paired with performances and tastings offered by establishments of the region.
The director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Juan Antonio Lorca, presented today with the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the director of the Allegro Festival :, Agustín Fernández, the new edition of this cultural event, which was born in 2017 and that every year grows with new contributions.
"It is an ideal cultural offer to live as a family this weekend," said Lorca.
In this new edition, which debuts the image, the prominence of the rhythms of the American continent stands out, as well as 'Allegretto', a special session for children that will take place on Sunday morning and that "contributes to create a quarry for lovers of the music and culture among the little ones, "said the director of the ICA.
In this sense, the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar highlighted the commitment of the town to create spaces to disseminate artistic expressions in an accessible and inclusive way.
Likewise, he announced as another of the novelties of this year the creation of the Allegro: prize, which will be awarded to the Municipal School of Music and Musical Union Band for his contribution to the dissemination of musical culture in the town.
The third edition of this festival opens on Friday, October 4, (9:00 p.m.) with the act 'En clave feminina', by the pianist Cristina Sánchez, in the Cultural Classroom of the Cajamurcia Foundation.
Formed at the Higher Conservatory of Music where she obtained the honors in the specialties of piano performance and choral conducting.
At the concert he will introduce the Overseas rhythms that star in this edition and will count on the collaboration of the percussionist Alejandro Solano, the 2019 Filón Minero Prize.
During the day on Saturday, three events will be enjoyed: 'Chamber vermouth', 'Historic coffee' and 'Symphonic wine', starring the Thinking brass metal quintet, the female vocal music group DeMusica Ensemble, which will review the repertoire of his latest work 'Mine' and the Orihuela City Orchestra conducted by Sixto Herrero, who will focus his repertoire on Cuban rhythms.
Sunday is aimed at children with the activity 'Allegretto', a musical didactic concert by GMV Big Band.
Likewise, shops and gastronomy have been added, providing value, as well as San Pedro establishments such as The Canallas, Repostería Pedrín and Panadería José Antonio.
ICA Fellows in Cultural Factory
The 'Allegro' festival is directed by the musician and pedagogue Agustín Fernández Rubio, who has been deserving this year of one of the scholarships of the Ministry of Education and Culture in Cultural Factory Region of Murcia.
During his stay at Factoría he has developed new ideas for the festival and collaborated with other cultural entrepreneurs such as the artist Antoine Doinel, who has been in charge of the new graphic image of this cultural event.
The presentation of the new edition of the Allegro festival took place in the Machine Room of the Párraga Center, where Antoine Doinel shows his work as a result of the work carried out during his period at the Cultural Factory.
The event also featured the intervention of the female vocal group of ancient music DeMusica Ensemble.
