This program of the Department of Equality includes during the last quarter of the year various recreational and training activities aimed at contributing to the personal development of women and favoring gender equality from mainstreaming.
The Councilor for Social Welfare and Equality, Fuensanta García, today presented the "Entre Nosotras" cycle program for the new course, which in this last quarter of 2019 includes talks and workshops in different fields.
This program, which has been developed since 2011, aims to promote new experiences, learning and knowledge among participants, addressing gender equality in a transversal way.
The program will begin on Wednesday, October 16, with a two-day workshop on Resilience, by the psychologist Yolanda Lajarín.
This year the "Salicornia" reading club will also return, which in this new journey will begin with a talk with the local writer Francisco Ferrer Carbonell.
In November, nutritionist Rebeca Verdú will talk about vitamin supplements and will take a guided tour of the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro.
On the occasion of November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a talk will be held on "Gender Cyberviolenics: Alarm Indicators", by the psychologist Araceli Rodríguez, organized in collaboration with the Association of Families and Women of the Rural Environment, AFAMMER.
In the final stretch of the year the most playful days will be enhanced, with a natural beauty workshop to prepare essential creams, by Gabriela Martínez Grandio, and a meal of coexistence among the participants.
In addition to this cycle of talks, the Department of Equality hosts this quarter a comprehensive training program that includes courses in Gerontology, psychosocial support in institutions, and activities for the promotion of leisure time for children and youth, also coordinated with AFAMMER.
In this quarter, the program "Iguálate con los nuevos technologies" is being developed, which is being carried out in the classroom of active training to bring new technologies to women in the municipality and reduce the digital divide.
