The beaches of Villananitos, La Puntica and La Mota are open today from 2:00 pm, after completing the cleaning work that, throughout the week, has been carried out on these beaches after the anoxia episode that on the 12th October left thousands of dead fish and crustaceans on its banks.
Since last Saturday, environmental agents, forest brigades, authorized companies, operators of the Municipal Warehouse, Civil Protection and Local Police have worked in the cleaning and surveillance work, with manual and mechanical means, including two vessels.
Throughout this week tons of fish and crustaceans have been removed both on the shores of the beaches and inside the water.
This special device has been concluded today, although maintenance on these beaches will continue to be carried out on a regular basis by the usual cleaning services.
